Even though we were still coping from our loss, Seahorse, Fish Bait, and I returned to the Naragex Forest, eager to reach Superior City and challenge our first gym leader.
And speaking of the gym leader, we met a man that knows what type of Pokemon he uses in battle. Now we know to look out for his fighting-type Pokemon.
And then we ran into a Hypno, but it didn't fight us. It just looked awfully sad, but we had no idea why.
However, we had to get moving, so we left the poor Hypno.
And we did it! We made it out of the forest without suffering another casualty.
I spent most of my money on more pokeballs, potions, and antidotes. I needed to make sure that I'm prepared for any dangerous situations that could arise unexpectedly.
Then we met a woman that had a Drowzee at her house. She was wondering where its mother had gone. Assuming that its mother was the Hypno that we met in the forest, we decided to return and let Hypno know about her child's location. She spoke to us telepathically, saying that she owed us a favor.
And we realized that we needed her favor as soon as we met a punk bug catcher who was trying to sell the HM Strength for "a million bucks."
So Hypno kindly retrieved Strength for us, and we could finally continue our journey.
